Inter Milan striker Luka Modrić has scored 12 goals in the Serie A this season, which is more than double the number he managed last year.
The Serbian forward, who was on loan from Juventus to Inter for the 2019-20 campaign, made his Inter debut against Roma on Saturday and immediately grabbed the goal when he headed home a header from substitute Kostas Tzaris' cross.
Modrić's goal came just after half-time as Inter took an early lead, with a well-taken shot from the edge of the area that beat Roma goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. The goal also set up Inter's first ever hat-trick at the San Siro.
Despite scoring a brace, Modrić was unable to find the back of the net again until the final minute of the game, but he still ended up with over 400 shots in the Serie A campaign, which puts him in second place in the Italian top-flight behind only Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Modrić's form continues to impress, and it looks like Inter will be able to make some noise next season under the guidance of coach Massimiliano Allegri. With their talented squad, they have every chance of winning the title, so we can't wait to see how the season unfolds.
